Bridges of the Mind offers many variations of groups to help with various issues. Learn more about our group options available below.

HYBRID: ONLINE/IN-PERSON

Anxiety Group

For girls, grouped by age

Goal: To help participants realize that through cognitive and behavioral strategies they can take control on their anxiety.

Content/curriculum:

Led by Jazmin Burns, Psy.D, this program is a hybrid; in-person for those comfortable, and online for those who are not. Online participants must have reliable internet/WiFi connection and access to a computer or tablet with camera for video telehealth purposes.

In this time of COVID it is exponentially harder to cope at home with limited options outside of the home and little respite. Special Ideas for this difficult time will be a focus of each group.

Information provided will be tailored to the individual group members needs

Each group session will consist of size, 1 1/2 hour sessions occuring every week, the cost is $40 per session ofr $250 if you pay in the full group upfront.

Communication and Social Skills Group for Adults

The Communication and Social Skills Group for Adults can help you learn these important skills so that you can feel comfortable and ready to deal with any social situation. Each group will focus on different skill and situations where you can learn and practice scenarios.

Groups will meet for 6 sessions, 1.5 hour sessions every week. Cost is $40 per session

SOCIAL SKILL GROUPS

Bridges of the Mind currently offers 6-week social skill group sessions for children who have been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, or Social Anxiety.

SOCIAL SKILLS GROUP FOR 8-11 YEAR OLDS

Dates/Time: Postponed at this time due to COVID-19

Goals: Identifying emotions/nonverbal cues, showing empathy/being a good friend, sharing the space/conversation rules, stress management, perspective taking, and team building/leadership.

Cost: Intake $100. 6 Sessions $390 (payable in lump-sum or $65 per week).

 Session time can be used by parents to engage with one another, provide support, and connect.
